Hey, I am back with another sweatpant review. You might recall that with the help of my two friends, known as F1 and F2, I was able to write a fair and accurate review on a pair of sweatpants from a known brand. This time, I will be writing about the Hanes Men’s EcoSmart Fleece Sweatpants, as you can probably tell from the title.
So why sweatpants? I’m a runner. I’m not a professional, nor do I run marathons (yet), but I do take my running seriously. I run regularly with my friend, F1, who helped me formulate an opinion on the first sweatpants I reviewed.
We both looked at with the eyes of running enthusiasts, while our other friend, F2, provided a different perspective. Unlike us, who are mostly active, F2 isn’t really a fan of exercise since he has a very stressful job and likes to sleep or just watch TV at home on his days off. For the previous review, I purchased three pairs of the sweatpants I wanted to write about and asked them to take notes of the pros and cons.
We did the same things for Hanes Men’s EcoSmart Fleece Sweatpants, which promise to make you, “look good and feel good,” with their fleece garment that’s made with a front and back part with different measurements.
Again, we wore and tested the sweatpants over the course of two weeks. Right off the bat, all three of us were impressed with how soft and comfortable the sweatpants are. They’re made from fleece, after all, which helps since the weather is getting colder as we approach fall.
F2 likes to wear his on the evenings and all throughout the night as he sleeps. He says the fleece sweatpants are keeping him warm even in the cool breeze from his windows at night and during the early mornings. F1 and I also love the warmth that the Hanes’ sweatpants lend us during our morning runs.
I’m most likely wearing these to bed during the winter, too. What’s great about them is they don’t feel heavy for something that feels so warm and cozy. You would expect it to feel thick and heavy, almost difficult to run in, but that’s not the case for us at all.
The only caveat is that there are no pockets. I guess that’s better for most people because pockets only let cold air in, but it’s not a good concept for me. I like to be able to put my house keys somewhere when I run, but now I can’t bring them with me.
F1 doesn’t mind as he never really brings anything to our runs except for his towel and Fitbit. F2, of course, doesn’t mind as he doesn’t really go anywhere for him to be bothered by the lack of pockets.
Everything fits so perfectly on us. We are all three about the same size, with a few differences, and we agree that the waistband, legs, and ankle cuffs all fit really well and stay in place no matter what we do.
However, I must point out that these sweatpants have a reputation of shrinking, so I purchased a larger size than what we would all normally wear. Indeed, they shrunk after the first use, but after that they didn’t shrink further.
They’re also machine-washable, so we would wash them almost daily. We are happy to report that the sweatpants held up well even after a series of almost-daily washing and use. There was no pilling of the fabric or ripping off at the waistband.
It was intact, and it shows how good the quality of the product is. The fabric also dries quickly after washing, so we were able to use them almost every day. Because of this, we were really able to write an accurate review of the Hanes sweatpants.
I highly recommend the Hanes Men’s EcoSmart Fleece Sweatpants to anyone who is easily bothered by cold air, doesn’t mind the initial shrinkage, and doesn’t care for pockets on sweatpants. They are high-quality fleece sweatpants that will stand up to constant washing and will surely last a long time.
